The newspaper EL SALTO talks about the [J]ITANA project

7 de December de 2022

The [J]ITANA project, promoted by Yiló-CESPYD in collaboration with other Roma organisations in Spain, has been recognised by the newspaper EL SALTO, which asked its readers whether the dreams of Roma girls have a place in educational centres.

The article includes the reflections of some of the project’s researchers, such as Daniela E. Miranda, who denounces the insensitivity of universities to problems such as structural antigypsyism, and councillor Sandra Heredia, who asserts the need to create safe spaces for young Roma girls to express themselves freely. The article also highlights the participation in the project of La Fragua Projects – the first social enterprise set up by Roma professionals and an essential part of this project.
