CESPYD welcomes Andrés Ruiz Sánchez, from the University of Costa Rica

CESPYD welcomes Andrés Ruiz Sánchez, a professor and researcher from the University of Costa Rica. He is currently working on his doctoral thesis project, “A Human Rights-Based Approach for Mental Health of Nicaraguan Youth Migrants in Costa Rica,” under the guidance of Dr. Virginia Paloma. This project will be based on MIWEX Well-being Index, which aims to “portray the degree of well-being enjoyed by the population residing in a specific geographic area.” When completed, it will be the first to provide data on the mental health of Nicaraguan migrant population in Costa Rica. For the development of this project, Andrés is funded by the University of Costa Rica’s program for postgraduate scholarships abroad.
