CESPYD welcomes Douglas Tomácio from University of São Paulo (Brazil)
CESPYD welcomes Douglas Tomácio, a PhD student from the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil. He is conducting his doctoral thesis project under the title “Politically Taken Vitality: University Teaching in the Context of Violence and Suicide”, which aims to explore violence and suffering as socio-political categories. His phd thesis is conducted under the supervision of Dr. Elizabete Franco Cruz (Brazil). From April until October 2024 he will be undertaking a stay with our team, participating in the project “Migrant Womens’ Experience in the University” with Rocio Garrido Muñoz de Arenillas as his supervisor. His stay is funded by the Sandwich Doctorate Program of Brazil’s Ministry of Education “Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel” (CAPES).
