Our colleague Virginia Paloma has been invited by the Mental Health Commissioner of the Ministry of Health to present the MadresUP Project during a seminar addressed to all Regional Health Departments of Spain’s Autonomous Communities. The seminar, held on March 24, aimed to showcase three best practices at the national level that could inspire the development and funding of programs aligned with the Spanish Government’s Mental Health Action Plan 2025–2027.

The MadresUP project, funded by the State Research Agency, is led by the Community Research and Action Center of the University of Seville (CESPYD) in partnership with five other entities. The objective of MadresUP is to improve the mental health of culturally minoritized mothers through community-based mentoring formats and peer support groups.

The MadresUP project includes an Implementation Manual to facilitate its replication, and these video reports provide an initial insight into the work being carried out with African, Latin American, and Roma mothers.

All information is available on the project’s website, as well as on CESPYD’s Instagram and LinkedIn profiles.
