Stay in the Núcleo de Direitos Humanos e Cidadanía LGBT from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil, within the Framework of the Project “Diversity and Equity in Ibero-American Universities”
Our colleague Rocío Garrido has been developing her work in an action-research stay at the NUH – Núcleo de Direitos Humanos e Cidadanía LGBT (http://www.fafich.ufmg.br/nuh/) from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. This stay, held during August 2019, is part of the project “Diversity and Equity in Ibero-American Universities: Characterization of Good Practices and Identification of Needs from the standpoint of Psychology”, funded by the Office of Development Cooperation of the University of Seville. This project is led by Rocío Garrido and Blanca Bohorquez (US) and Professor Marco Aurélio Máximo Prado (UFMG), with the collaboration of researchers from other universities, such as Reynel Alexander Chaparro Clavijo (National University of Colombia), Hugo H. Rabbia (National University of Córdoba, Argentina) and Paribanú Freitas De León (University of the Republic, Uruguay). From an ecological and intersectional perspective, this project aims to generate a network to share knowledge and develop the potential to promote equity and respect for sexual diversity in university contexts and Ibero-American societies.
