Virginia Paloma Participates in a UPNA Summer Course on Social Mentoring

On June 18th, 19th, and 20th, the Summer Course “Evaluation and Impact Measurement in Social Mentoring Projects” took place in Pamplona. The course was organized by the Social Mentoring Coordinator, the Public University of Navarre (UPNA), and the UNESCO Chair on Citizenship, Coexistence and Pluralism, with support from the Department of Housing, Youth and Migration Policies of the Government of Navarre.

As part of the program, a round table titled “Evaluation Experiences in Mentoring Projects with Migrants” was held, featuring Virginia Paloma (CESPYD, Andalusia), Eider Jaime (Garaian Scoop, Navarre), and Kristina Soarez (Baketik Foundation, Basque Country). The session was moderated by Marina Montoya, Project Coordinator at the Associació Punt de Referència in Catalonia.

Virginia Paloma shared evaluation experiences linked to various social mentoring projects developed since 2017 within CESPYD, in collaboration with CEAR, Fundación Cepaim, the Spanish Red Cross, and ECCA Social.

Social mentoring is an increasingly appealing tool for public administrations, universities, and third-sector organizations due to its positive impact on both mentors and mentees.
