Tatiana Duque Presents Report on Gender-Based Violence in Border Contexts in Bucaramanga
On April 10, researcher Tatiana Duque was invited to present the report “Bodies, Borders, and Gender-Based Violence: Voices of Migrant Women Arriving in Andalusia by Sea” to Social Work and Law students in Bucaramanga, within the framework of academic discussions on human trafficking and the dynamics of vulnerability associated with migration processes.
During the session, some of the report’s main findings were presented, focusing on the experiences of migrant women exposed to different forms of violence in border spaces. The meeting also fostered an interdisciplinary space for reflection on the challenges of rights protection, social intervention, and support for people in situations of human mobility, particularly in contexts marked by exclusion, precariousness, and gender inequalities.
