Visit from Raquel Carrión, Director of the Social Mentoring Coordinator
On May 29, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Raquel Carrión, Director of the Social Mentoring Coordinator (CMS), to the Faculty of Psychology. This meeting took place within the framework of the collaboration established between CMS and CESPYD through the project “Promoting Psychosocial Well-being among Unaccompanied Migrant Youth: Assessing Needs, Strengths, and Resources in the Andalusian Context”, funded by the Development Cooperation Office of the University of Seville.
Virginia Paloma and Aurora Pavón-Fernández, members of the project team, held a meeting with her to discuss different aspects related to the development of the research project, which seeks to better understand and make visible the life trajectories and aspirations of unaccompanied migrant youth transitioning into adulthood in Andalusia. The project aims to generate knowledge that contributes to the co-design of an evidence-based community intervention program focused on promoting psychosocial well-being through a social mentoring format. The meeting also provided an opportunity to continue strengthening collaborative pathways and future joint initiatives in support of the inclusion of unaccompanied migrant youth in Andalusia.
We would like to thank Raquel and the Social Mentoring Coordinator for this valuable space for dialogue and exchange, which contributes to further strengthening the connections between research and social action.
