Visit of Dr. Òscar Prieto-Flores as Part of the PhD Program in Psychology

Between October 28 and 30, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Òscar Prieto-Flores from the Department of Pedagogy at the University of Girona, within the framework of the PhD Program in Psychology.

As part of his visit, he delivered a hybrid conference titled “The Role of Social Mentoring in the Social Inclusion of Migrant Populations”, held on Wednesday, October 29, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., in the Aula de Grado of the Faculty of Psychology. During the session, he presented recent findings from his research on social mentoring, well-being, and the mental health of racialized migrants and refugees. The event was attended by Master’s and PhD students, as well as members of our research team.

During his stay, Professor Prieto-Flores shared with our team his lines of research on social mentoring and social inclusion in the field of migration, fostering a valuable space for dialogue and reflection on the synergies between our areas of study. His visit thus contributed to strengthening academic ties and advancing collaborative initiatives between our research teams.
