Virginia Paloma visits Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland)
In the context of the European project Joint eStories: Journeys from Fear to Fair (JeS), funded by the Erasmus+ Call of the European Union, Virginia Paloma has been invited by INCOMA to participate in a training in the multisensory method from November 25 to 29, 2024 at Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland).
This method consists in the creation of a psychologically safe space where participants immerse themselves in the life experiences of other people by involving all the senses. Thus, in a multisensory space there is always something to see (e.g., images), to touch (e.g., objects), to listen to (e.g., music), to smell (e.g., fragrances) and to taste (e.g., beverages). This experiential method has proven to be effective in reducing cross-cultural biases, promoting dialogue of life experiences and fostering psychological empowerment.
