CESPYD Strengthens Partnerships for Research and Intervention with Migrant Women
On February 24, CESPYD took part in a particularly inspiring meeting at Espacio AMBAR, an initiative of Fundación SAMU, where we shared a close and enriching space for dialogue around work with migrant women in Andalusia.
During the conversation, we were able to explore in greater depth the research project “Bodies, Borders and Gender-Based Violence: Voices of Migrant Women Arriving to Andalusia by Sea,” promoted by Federación Andalucía Acoge, in which we collaborated by providing methodological support. Hearing how women’s experiences are transformed into knowledge and into tools for advocacy reaffirms the purpose of our research and community work.
The dialogue also made it possible to identify important points of connection with the FeminForm project (funded by the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda), particularly in the shared commitment to an intersectional feminist perspective, a human rights–based approach, and qualitative methodologies centered on the voices and narratives of the women themselves.
We are encouraged to see so many resonances between our lines of work. These encounters remind us that when we share knowledge and build alliances, social impact is strengthened.
We will continue weaving networks, colaborative knowledg.
