Virginia Paloma at the “Recipes of Hope” Event Organised by the Jesuit Migrant Service (SJM)
On 25 June, Virginia Paloma participated in the event “Recipes of Hope”, held at Espacio Ecooo in Madrid and organised by the Jesuit Migrant Service (SJM) together with organisations from the Social Sector of the Society of Jesus.
The event created a space for dialogue bringing together leading voices from academia, public institutions, civil society, and the media to reflect on the progress, challenges, and ongoing opportunities surrounding the 2030 Agenda. During the event, a communication campaign was also launched with the aim of bringing the 2030 Agenda closer to the general public while highlighting the work carried out by SJM and its partner organisations in promoting human rights. The central theme of the event was the affirmation of hope as a driving force for social transformation—not as a passive idea, but as a practice that inspires commitment and strengthens collective action towards more just, sustainable, and inclusive societies.
The event forms part of the project Rooting the Sustainable Development Goals: Action Proposals for the 2030 Agenda, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda.
