On Friday, December 12, 2025, the II Seminar on Mental Health, Human Rights and Minoritized Groups was successfully held at the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville. The event was organized by the Center for Research and Community Action of the University of Seville, within the framework of the MadresUP, AndaRomi, and RomaCare projects, and brought together the participation of eight organizations.

The seminar aimed to create a space for reflection and interdisciplinary dialogue on the relationship between mental health and human rights, focusing on three minoritized groups: (1) African migrant women who arrived in Andalusia by sea, (2) Latin American migrant women exercising motherhood in Spain, and (3) Roma mothers living in impoverished neighborhoods in the city of Seville.

Throughout the day, research findings, community-based experiences, and intervention proposals were presented, all aimed at advancing more inclusive mental health care models grounded in a human rights and community-based approach. The seminar brought together students, faculty members, researchers, and representatives of various organizations committed to social justice.
