Rocío Garrido and Blanca Vera participate as lecturers in the Critical Whiteness course (ULYSSEUS)

Between 24 and 28 November of last year, Blanca Vera Moreno and Rocío Garrido participated as lecturers in the course Critical Whiteness: Reflecting on Power and Taking Action in the University Context, a blended learning event organised within the framework of the ULYSSEUS programme and held at the University of Münster (Germany).

The course focused on the analysis of structural racism, cultural competence, and intergroup relations within the university context. Throughout the sessions, participants engaged in critical reflection on white privilege, incorporating contributions from decolonial feminisms and fostering dialogical spaces aimed at transforming institutional racism and sexism.

This experience represented a valuable opportunity for international academic exchange and for strengthening teaching practices committed to equity and social justice, reinforcing the university’s commitment to inclusion and social responsibility.
